Formula & how it works
GPA = Σ(grade points × credits) ÷ total credits. Weighted modes add the course bonus to the grade points before multiplying.
Worked examples
Example 1
A (4.0) for 3 credits and B (3.0) for 4 credits: (12 + 12) ÷ 7 = 3.4286 GPA.
Example 2
An A worth 4.0 with a 1.0 bonus in a 3-credit course contributes 15 quality points and a 5.0 weighted GPA.
Assumptions & practical notes
The default 4.0 scale is a common example, not a universal standard. Plus/minus values and weighted bonuses vary.
Use only GPA-bearing credits. Pass/fail exclusions, repeated-course replacement, and institutional caps require adjusting your input.

Can I calculate high school GPA?
Yes. Choose high school mode and enter the course-level bonus used by your school. Set all bonuses to zero for unweighted work.
Can I change the scale?
Yes. Edit the letter-to-points table. Every entered course grade must appear in it.
